8 hours of Homestead Educational Experience and an overnight stay in our basement apartment for $385/two adults - $300/one adult. Three meals (you help prepare) will be included. The apartment has one double bed and space for one child cot or port-a-crib. We can accommodate 2 adults and one child at this time. (another room is being renovated to accommodate another 3 people in the future). This is a "Take What You Make" experience meaning you will take home or consume the product of your labor.
Your day would begin at 7am with feeding animals and Milking goats. Meals would be prepared from the farm and/or food storage. Day activities would include anything you want to learn that is happening on the homestead (limited by time of the year).
Depending on the season, classes could include; Soapmaking, Cheesemaking, Canning, Pie Making, Fruit Tree Pruning, Bread Making, Freeze Drying, Gardening/Harvest, Herbs, Making Grapevine Wreaths, Helping deliver goat kids, Animal Care and First Aid, Meat Chicken Processing, Preparing powder mixes (cookies, cakes, pancake, brownie, onion soup, chicken broth...). Food Storage, Cooking from Food Storage, Yogurt making, Dutch Oven Cooking, Sewing... The day ends with the evening feeding and milking.

In the evenings you are free to experience all our area has to offer (not included in price, but we can give recommendations and schedules and will join you if you like). This could include the county fair, hiking Ben Lomond, visiting museums or state parks (Antelope Island), taking the canoe to the reservoir, local live theaters and cultural events, Ogden City Farmers Market, skiing at local resort, visit SLC...
